Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

NIMA is an independent iPhone app ("NIMA", "we"). This policy explains what NIMA collects, where it is stored, and the choices you have. Contact: [email protected].

What NIMA stores

  • Things you save, such as links, posts, photos, notes and files. These are stored on your iPhone.
  • Information about your Google Drive files when you connect Drive: file names, types, sizes and modified dates, plus the summaries, tags, categories and connections NIMA creates. This is stored on your iPhone.
  • Your Google sign-in token, stored in your iPhone's Keychain so NIMA can read the Drive files you've allowed.

How Drive content is used

NIMA reads the content of your Drive files only to create summaries, tags, categories and connections for you inside the app. This analysis runs on your iPhone by default. NIMA does not send your file contents to an outside AI service, does not use them for advertising, and does not use them to train AI models. NIMA doesn't edit, move or delete your Drive files.

NIMA's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
  • We don't show ads.
  • We don't use third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services.

Optional Connected AI

Out of the box, NIMA works on your iPhone and sends nothing to an AI service. In Settings you can choose to connect your own account with OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini by adding your own API key. Only after you add a key and allow that provider does NIMA send the text of a saved item to it, to write that item's explanation. That provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to what it receives. Your key is stored in your iPhone's Keychain. You can turn this off or remove the key at any time.

Keeping and deleting your data

Data stays on your iPhone until you delete it in the app or delete the app. To remove NIMA's access to Google Drive, open your Google Account, go to Security, then third-party connections, and remove NIMA. To ask us anything about your data, email [email protected].

Children

NIMA isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
